Equitance Brightening Serum and Spot Corrector Review

 I received this little gem from in the mail a few weeks back. I will be honest with you, I had never heard of Equitance before. And I was less than excited to give this a whirl (not because I don't like new products, trust me on that) but because the last brightening serum I tested had less than stellar results.  I figures, "what the hey" though, and gave it about a three week test run.

I started off with a few "problem spots" I have what hubby refers to as "freckles" across my nose, but who is he kidding? They're just sun damage. My real problem though was perpetual dark circles under my eyes. I had dark bags under my eyes for years. Blame it on long hours at work or genetics, but nothing seemed to make them disappear, let alone fade. For the most part I just resorted to piling on concealer and highlighter in the hopes of giving myself less of an undead look. Equitance brightening serum promised to zero in on dark discoloration, but I wasn't holding out hope.

I added the Equitance Serum into my usual routine. Face wash, toner, Equitance, lotion. Within a week, my bags were noticeably lighter. Everyone kept telling me how rested and refreshed I looked, which was nice, but how tired did I look before? By the end of the three weeks I wasn't even using concealer under my eyes any more. My face definitely looked more like it had a natural glow to it. Plus it evened out my general tone. I typically have to use a ton of highlighter and bronzer just to get a natural base look but I am not kidding when I say I am using minimal powder and a few dabs of foundation at most.

Outside of the fact that it actually works (which is rare on my skin!) it smells amazing. Plus it isn't greasy at all. It doesn't leave my skin feeling anything by natural and certainly not tacky or dewy like the other brightening serums I have tried. I still have a bit left from my sample which just goes to show that a little bit definitely goes a long way. That being said, I have been dropping hints to hubby about this being on my Christmas list.

I give it a 9/10. The only reason I even took the one point off is that at $125.00 for a 1.0 fl oz. bottle it is a bit pricey especially for a family on a budget.
